The philosophy behind La Baba Homeschool

La Baba Homeschool is an urban alternative outdoor micro-school established in 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic focused on creating viable, sustainable learning communities that would have a lasting legacy.

La Baba Homeschool is inspired by the drive for students to be more self-dedicated and educators to have more freedom in their teaching methods. As a micro-school and a small group classroom, the flexibility in the schedule provides many more genuine opportunities to teach the children what they need nor want. We strive to see children learning freely from their ambitions.
  • Children that are put in multi-aged pods learn from each other and help each other out.
  • Some of the children would never have formed friendships in a traditional school setting, however, they need to iron out their differences in a small group in order to find things they like about each other.
  • As families grapple with a changing education environment, some hope to find the flexibility, safety, and community they desire in small, local learning arrangements called learning pods.

At La Baba Homeschool, we are happy to host this new program that considers both the need for kids to participate in hands-on and in-person activities and the necessity to provide a secure and safe environment.

We offers many creative outdoor workshops combined with a play based curriculum in small groups from the ages of 5 to 8 years-old who collaborate on project-based learning with the help of graduated ECE educator/mentor teachers.

La Baba Homeschool is a licensed child care facility through the state of CA.

Although our facility provides, ample space, current student enrollment will be limited to 8 children, applying doesn't guarantee a spot in the class. For questions related to our prices and to request more information related to the pod, please contact us.
